May 2014

Queen Mother’s Clothing Guild has been granted Approved Activity Provider status by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. This means young people will be able to work for QMCG for the volunteer section of their Award

Queen Mother's Clothing Guild Chairman, Liza Jones with Abigail Saunders of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

The speaker at this year’s AGM, which took place at the Lansdowne Club, was Stephen Armstrong of SCT (Spitalfields Crypt Trust) who spoke about their work in Hackney and Tower Hamlets.  He thanked QMCG for its donations and told us how grateful they are for our ongoing support.

 

May 2013

The Annual General Meeting was held at The Landsdowne Club, London on Wednesday 8th May during which Peter Mansfield-Clark MBE gave a most interesting talk on the work of Crawley Open House, one of the many charities we support. Liza Jones, Chairman, thanked everyone for their continued support, and turnout. Also welcomed three new Presidents Tessa Crawford, Lindsey Dennis and Linda Thompson. She reported that an alternative venue may have to be found for holding Packing Week this year as St James's Palace are unable to accommodate us. Further news on this will follow.
